Unhappy Recap: Nationals 2 Mets 1

The Mets lose on a night when they wear throwback jerseys. The Mets were dressed in the uniforms of the New York Cubans and the Washington Nationals paid tribute to the Homestead Grays.

Paul Lo Duca's first inning homer was the only run the Mets scored.

Tom Glavine pitched probably his best game since June 23 against Toronto, but this time he was the hard luck loser.

Unfortunately for Glavine, Billy Traber pitched better. Traber was the first round draft pick of the Mets in 2000 but never made it. The Mets traded him to Cleveland in the Roberto Alomar deal. But he never really caught on there either. This was only the 8th win of his career.
