Unhappy Recap: Marlins 4 Mets 1

Another disappointing performance by the Mets bullpen. Looks like the Sanchez injury is really going to be their downfall.

In the three games since Duaner's injury the bullpen has given up 7 runs in 7 2/3 innings (not including inherited runners allowed to score) and lost 2 games.

It was Aaron Heilman's turn to blow a game. In the 8th inning (which now belongs to him) he gave up a single and two walks, before Cabrera cleared the bases with a double. Heilman's record this season is now 1-4.

Dontrelle Willis once again beguiled the Mets, as he always does. He is now 10-2 lifetime against the Mets.

But the Mets did get their chances against him, they just kept hitting into double plays.

Woodward hit into a double play with first and third and one out in the 4th.
Lo Duca hit into a double play with first and third and one out in the 5th.
Wright hit into a double play with a man on first one out in the 4th.
Wright and Woodward also failed with men on base in another spot in the game.

The Mets got their one run on a misplayed fly ball by Jeremy Hermida. The best part was watching Franco chug his 80 year old ass around the bases to third.

Pedro for his part pitched great. After that horrible first inning against Atlanta he's given up only that solo home run to Jacobs in the last 11 innings.
