Unhappy Recap: Reds 7 Mets 1

Some teams play 6 inning games because their bullpen is so good that if they're winning after 6 innings they're going to win, but the Mets play 6 inning games because if they're losing after 6 innings they're going to lose.

The hitting was bad in this game, they couldn't touch Bronson Arroyo, but they didn't even get a chance to comeback because of the horrible performance of the bullpen.

Anyone hoping Duaner Sanchez was going to be a savior is probably very disappointed right now.

And it wasn't Billy Wagner's fault that the defense made two errors behind him but he did allow 2 hits and a walk in 1 innings.

I love Ramon Castro and he's my favorite player but his strikeout with the bases loaded was a huge play in this game.

Mike Pelfrey had one of his best starts of the season but it's discouraging to see him give up so many hits. At least with Oliver Perez giving up a lot of walks you think that's easily correctable, but when a guy is hittable how do you fix that?

I still have no idea why Willie used his best lineup in the first game, in support of Santana, against Belisle, and put out a second string lineup behind his worst pitcher, and against Arroyo.
