Happy Recap: Mets 5 Phillies 3

The lack of clutch hitting is killing this team.

First inning, first and second none out, Delgado strikes out and Wright grounds into a double play. At least Beltran got a hit to drive in a run.

Second inning, second and third one out, Reyes pops up too shallow to score a run and LoDuca strikes out.

Keith Hernandez got into a car accident and missed tonight's game.

Beltran strikes out with the bases loaded. Reyes is the only guy who seems capable of getting a hit in a key situation.

Glavine actually didn't pitch too badly other than the two home runs by Rollins.

The bullpen worked, and we didn't even have to risk bringing in Heilman. Glad to get this series win over the Phillies. Hopefully they can sweep the Nationals like the Braves failed to do.
