Happy Recap: Mets 3 Nationals 2

Not quite the performance I was hoping for from Mike Pelfrey but he did pitch well enough to win.

The bullpen was excellent. It was nice to see Billy Wagner get a 1-2-3 save for a change.

Mets finally got some clutch hitting from Delgado to tie the game, and Julio Franco to win it.

I'm glad Franco did something early in the season because there is a great sentiment among Mets fans that he is past his prime and is only on the roster as a de facto coach.

Jose Reyes is awesome. There is no longer any debate about whether he is better than David Wright or Derek Jeter. Everything this team does starts with him. If the Mets didn't have so many other good players he would be a shoo-in for MVP.
