Happy Recap: Mets 8 Phillies 1

Welcome to New York, Moises Alou. The Mets finally got some production from the 4-5-6 spots in the lineup. Alou's first two home runs of the season, plus a great diving catch.

Once again Mets defense bailed them out with some good defense, including three more double plays.

Glavine pitched well though I am concerned about 5 walks.

I still like Joe Smith.

I still hate Ambiorix Burgos.

The Phillies went 0-13 with runners in scoring position.

Tom Glavine now has 293 wins.
